Maldon & District CVS: Walks for Wellbeing
There are many physical and mental health benefits to walking. Join our 'Walks for Wellbeing' for a friendly low impact walk in either Maldon, Burnham or Heybridge. The walks are very gentle and range between 1 and 2 miles. All ages and animals are welcome and free hot drinks are available after the walks at Burnham and Heybridge.
Regular walking can help: Improve your muscular strength, from your leg muscles to your heart muscle; help to control your weight (with the help of a healthy diet); reduce the cholesterol in the body; release hormones like adrenaline, boosting the mood; activate endorphins in the body, which helps to create a sense of wellbeing. It also gives you an opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the great outdoors.
