Age Well East Befriending

Our Befriending service is tailored to the client. A friendship coordinator will establish what likes, interests, hobbies and activities our clients enjoy and try to match with like-minded volunteers/peers for a weekly friendship connection.This can include people in later years, carers and those living with:Sensory impairments, mpairment disability, Dementia, Autism,Learning disability,Mental health problems and Long-term conditions

To refer into our service, complete the online referral form via Essex Wellbeing Service: Essex Wellbeing Service or call  0300 303 9988.  You can self-refer or refer someone you know but please ensure you have their consent.

Who can use this service?

How are services delivered?

Our befriending service is available to lonely and isolated adults aged 18+ living in Essex (excluding Southend) and aged 60+ living in the Thurrock district.

Our friendship connections can be made over the phone, in person, digitally or pen friendship.
