ECC: Adult Mental Health Wellbeing Team
The Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Team provide short term support for people with mental health and emotional issues such as anxiety, low mood, stress and depression. We work with you to improve your wellbeing and quality of life, for you to regain control and move forward. We are NOT a 'crisis' response mental health team. We CANNOT support you if you're in contact with Specialist Mental Health services provided by EPUT, e.g psychiatrist or Specialist Mental Health team.
The Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Team provide short term support including:
- one-to-one support
- self-help advice and guidance
- signposting to support for issues affecting your wellbeing, such as debt or physical health
- employment help
- help accessing social groups in your area
- support for carers
- mens group
We accept self-referrals but if you are a professional / organisation wanting to make a referral on behalf of the person, please call our duty line 0333 032 2958 or email MH.Wellbeingteam@essex.gov.uk to discuss/request a referral form.
Who can use this service?
Adults (aged 18-65) who have a mental health problem which affects their wellbeing. We cannot support you if you are in contact with Specialist Mental Health services provided by EPUT – for example a psychiatrist or a Specialist Mental Health team.
How are services delivered?
We are a short term service.The services we provide include : One-to-one support. Self-help advice and guidance. Helping you find other support for issues affecting your wellbeing, such as debt or a physical health problem. Helping you access social groups in your area. Support for Carers.
